Evesham Friends Cemetery no longer exists.

In 1695, Quakers in New Jersey living between Haddonfield and Mount Holly formed an association called Evesham Meeting and in 1698 built a meeting house at present Mount Laurel. In 1717, a graveyard was established next to the meeting house on land donated by William Evans. Evesham Friends meeting records were kept by Haddonfield Monthly Meeting until 1759, at which time Evesham Meeting became Evesham Monthly Meeting. In 1760, a brick meeting house was built and is still in use today as the Mount Laurel Meeting House. This stone building was built in front of the original meeting house and next to the Evesham Friends Cemetery.

In 1793, the southern part of Evesham Monthly Meeting known as Upper Evesham Meeting and Cropwell Meeting combined and broke away to become Upper Evesham Monthly Meeting, located at Medford. What remained is presently Mount Laurel Township in Burlington County.

In 1798, a new cemetery was established about 1/3 mile away and is today called Mount Laurel Friends Burial Ground. Also, an addition was added to the 1760 building to extend it eastward by 1/2 and the cemetery later covered over. Location of the extinct cemetery is next to the east end of the present stone building and is marked by a post at each corner, which measures about 100 feet by 170 feet. No stones are visible but members of Evesham Meeting who died between 1717 and 1798 are most likely buried there.
